Our Brief Profile

Our experiences include managing projects from Ship Handling to consolidating cargo in various parts of the world and also Clearing, Haulage and Total Logistics. Shipment from scratch to final delivery to the consumer. This we had done for companies such as Dangote cement project in Ghana. We have also provided Total Logistics to Telephone companies which include Airtel, Vodafone and Glo Mobile. We have together with our partners, C.K. CARGO in South Africa shipped and parked and cleared in Ghana and transported more than 20 aircrafts fully chattered and delivered to various locations throughout Ghana in 2010 for phase 1 of Glo Mobile launch.

South Africa in 2010. GCCL handled more than all the Freight Companies in Ghana especially air freight goods.

Our efficiency expands across air, sea and road. We have also cleared on the seas especially when Glo Mobile was laying the submarine cables across Nigeria to Europe. Global Cargo & Commodities Ltd. have always been the most preferred International Freight Forwarder when clearing under very short notices. This we have done during the Glo CAF awards in Ghana and Togo.

Together with our Nigerian counterparts OLAOGUN AKINTOYA NIGERIA LTD., we have internationally freight forwarded various project consignment from ZTE China to ZTE Nigeria and ZTE Ghana. ZTE is vendor for KASAPA, ZAIN, VODAFONE and MTN among others.

Global Cargo & Commodities Ltd. has also enough International Freight Forwarding experience in shipments in full ship loads across the world especially tramp shipping.

With sea shipments, Global Cargo & Commodities is one of the biggest players in the total logistics industries. With our modern office complete and fleet of vehicles and equipments we have handled consistently more than 6% of sea borne cargo into Ghana for the past five (5) years. This can be verified from the Ghana Shippers Council shipping review, Ghana Customs Excise & Preventive Service and Ghana Ports & Harbours Authority offices. In addition we have a warehouse close to the port of Tema to cater for both dry and wet cargo and also constructing a container terminal close to the port of Tema. Global Cargo & Commodities Ltd. is a common or household name in Tema, Takoradi and Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

We are also into ship chandelling and ship husbandry.

The next target of Global Cargo & Commodities Ltd. is to apply for ISO Certification. This we intend to vigorously pursue.

Global Cargo & Commodities Ltd. recently undertook a free Hepatitis B screening exercise for several months for residents of three districts in the Northern and Volta regions. This was followed with vaccinations. This could be verified from the B&TF, Ghanaian Times and Weekend SPECTATOR all of December 2010.

As part of our corporate and social responsibility we have undertaken many social interventions to help poor and deprived communities in Ghana.
