PURPOSE OF THE JOB To ensure that all technical services in the region are effectively monitored and maintained in order to deliver excellent quality services to its customers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To handle faults related to Network Power Quality of Service (Generator Power, Grid Power, Hybrid solutions etc) KPIs and prescribe solutions and/or carryout timely corrective procedures to maintain the KPIs within the range in the Set Objectives as escalated by NOC.
  • To monitor and manage subcontractors on regional projects to ensure that subcontractor SLAs are met within the allocated region.
  • To implement Network and Service Installations as requested by the Customer O&M and Projects Departments.
  • To support domestic customers to perform field tasks (Eg. Surveys, Installations, Maintenance, BTS Site matters etc.)
  • To identify, build and manage Network Spare/Stock Inventories.
  • To ensure all PM and CM works are captured in Service Now application
  • Ensure quality PM on site
  • To compile and edit network data/information to maintain data/information accuracy and integrity
  • To ensure all CM and PM are done on time.
  • Ensure return of materials and part issued for CM work.
  • Ensure work orders are closed
  • Timely attendance to all escalations
  • Maintenance of company vehicles and tools
  • OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To implement and develop operational guidelines, policies in liaison with other units
  • To make weekly network reports.
  • To handle any other work related duties as assigned by the Manager and NOC.
  • Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
  • If aware of any unsafe practice or condition, or if in any doubt about the safety of any situation, consult their supervisor.
  • Obtain and use the correct tools/equipment for the work and not to use any that are unsafe or damaged.  All tools, equipment and personal protective equipment must be stored in the approved place after use.
  • Ensure that all guards are securely fixed and that all safety equipment and personal protective clothing/equipment provided are used.
  • Not to operate any plant or equipment unless authorised.
  • To report any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence or dangerous condition to their line management.
  • To switch off and secure unattended plant or equipment.
  • To avoid improvised arrangements and suggest safe ways of eliminating hazards.
  • Not to participate in horseplay or place fellow employees in danger by their actions
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments within their respective zones or areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with Lifesaving rules (LSR) and other safety protocols on the ground.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to field technicians, ensuring they adhere to safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Monitor and assess safety performance in the field, identifying potential hazards and implementing control measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement safety initiatives and improve safety culture in the field.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety standards and LSR.
  • Provide timely feedback and coaching to field technicians to improve their safety awareness and performance.
  • Enforce compliance with Lifesaving rules and safety protocols on the ground.
  • Allocate resources and prioritize safety initiatives within their zones.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify corrective actions.
  • Apply the stop work authority in case of non-compliance with the Lifesaving rules
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise Site activities, and communicate with Management, sub-contractors, solving problems on time.
  • Contribute to streamlining operation and maintenance in general and fault handling in particular.
  • Critical decisions are to be made in consultation with the Field Supervisor.
  • The team leader will report directly to the Field Supervisor.
  • GENERAL DUTIES
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.
  • KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Well audited network for Power capacity requirements that guarantees future network and service expansions.
  • Timely carried out preventive and corrective Maintenance that met NETIS Network Availability, MTTR, and MTBF as per the agreed standard.
  • Quality PM executed and timely loading into Service Now application
  • All mechanical works resolved timely
  • Prompt attendance to preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance in the area of operation.
  • To ensure AC power availability of 99.99% at all times.
  • To ensure DC power availability of 100% at all times.
  • Strict adherence to company’s H, S &W and absolute rules
  • Well maintained tools and vehicle
  • All changed parts returned and on time.
  • Timely completion of all works in accordance to agreed standards and budget specifications.
  • Reporting of a minimum of 1 site observation or near miss per day.
  • Adherence to Life saving rules and safety protocols.
  • Strict Adherence to all safety procedures.
