Job Description

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with hotel standards and recipes.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure guest safety.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
• Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed.
• Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize food waste and control costs.
• Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency.
• Collaborate with the chef or kitchen manager to develop new menu items and specials.
• Handle special dietary requests and accommodate guest preferences when possible.
• Assist with training and supervision of kitchen staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cook in a hotel or similar hospitality setting.
• SHS, Technical/Vocational/NVTI or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and kitchen safety procedures.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Applicant must be in the age range of 25-40years
• Must be a person who lives in Kumasi, specifically, Atonsu and its environs.
