Macular Hole Surgery

About the product
Macular Holes commonly happen when the vitreous gen inside the eye is separating from the retina. It is more common with ageing but may also be caused by trauma, surgery and other causes. In the past, repairing macular holes were not possible as neither the technology nor the human resource capacity existed in Ghana. Since 2013 and with the setting up of our advanced vitreoretina surgical facilities, St. Thomas has been providing macular holes surgeries for patients in Ghana and the sub-region.
