Federal Express (Fedex) Branch Office - Accra

I sent a product from U.S.A to Ghana, after paying for $174 as shipping cost and custom charges, I was expecting the product to be delivered home, I was called to be told custom is holding on the package so I should come and pay, I asked how much so that I prepare and come but was told there is no way they could know how much,
I went to the FedEx head office in Accra only told be told I need to pay handling fees first, I didn't understand but I was told it's for handling the product and if I don't pay am not going to get my package, I paid Ghc 72,
I went through some crazy process and was later told I have two option by customs,
1. I should pay an amount which is Equivalent to $100,
2. Or they will put it in the system and I will definitely pay more.

I was shocked because paying $100 will mean the shipping cost plus customs charges will be higher than the total cost of the products.

At that moment there was nothing I could do so paid the Ghc 650 then a bunch of lazy seated workers will sign here and there, stamp here, a total of 7 guys each doing stamping and recording same thing.

I am begging anybody reading this to avoid Ghana FedEx, the service is very bad the customs guys are terrible. I don't know any better shipping company but please avoid FedEx when shipping something to Ghana because you will regret it.

Called the office for enquiries and a Male picked up, he was constantly shouting and so rude on the phone. And oh he hanged up the line in the middle of the conversation.

I CALLED TO FIND OUT ABOUT HOW MUCH IT WILL COST ME TO SEND A CERT.TO ATLANTA.I WAS INITIALLY TOLD GH 40.00 THEN HE SAID IT WAS A MISTAKE BUT RATHER SUPPOSE TO BE 180.00.I WAS TOLD TO SEND MOBILE MONEY SO THAT AN AGENT WILL COME AND PICK UP THE PARCEL.I SENT THE MONEY,RECEIPT CONFIRMED THEN MINUTES LATER I CALLED ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WAS TO BE GH 240.00 AND THAT HE MADE AN ERROR.I THEN REQUESTED THAT I DONT HAVE THE EXTRA SO THE MONEY SHOULD BE RETURNED ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT ITS NOW NOT REFUNDABLE BECAUSE THEY HAVE USED IT TO START PROCESSING WITH AN AGENT.PLEASE LET ALL OF US BE VIGILANT.I MISSED OUT ON CERTAIN BASIC INFORMATION DURING OUR CONVERSATION AND IT HAS COST ME THIS;IE;PARCEL ARRIVING WITHIN 48HRS AND MISSING OUT ON QUOTATIONS.

FedEx is the most unreliable or unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in Ghana, twice now you did that to me and returning the parcel without even noticing me. you guys are the worst ever and should check on your systems, your services take longer to get here plus your charges when to receive a parcel is outrageous, you can use the customs and duties charges to buy what’s in the parcel so what’s the purpose of someone sending you a parcel in the first place?? Please anybody reading this use DHL they are the best safer and faster..

The worst company I have dealt with in Ghana by far. False charges is their middle name. Absolutely, horrific customer service. As if these 2 reasons are not enough for you to reconsider doing any kind of business with them, they will ask you to pickup your package yourself at their office when you have paid for front door delivery. I will NEVER do business with these folks even if they offer to deliver my package for FREE. ABSOLUTELY NE-VER!
That said it mean, not doing business with FedEX Globally. If FedEx wants to build or keep any reputable business image in Africa, then it should carefully reconsider who is representing them in Ghana. Falsification is not a good business motor.

The worst company I have ever transacted business with. The FALSELY STATED that a customs receipt was a forgery, the customs receipt is valid, nothing wrong with it. Fedix ACC should be investigated by the police for possible scamming. Use DHL, a bit more expensive but sometimes quality does cost more.

I don't understand why you people returned my parcels without even contacting me. I'm very very disappointed in your services.

Please, how long does it take for a document to reach U.S.A (North Carolina State, specifically) form Ghana when document was in transit on 25/10/2019.

How long will it take for a document to reach Ghana from Canada Toronto when posted on Monday 21/1/2019
