African Widows and Disabled Foundation - Accra

African Widows and Disabled Foundation (AWD Foundation) is a Ghanaian wholly-owned NGO, incorporated in 2014 under the Ghana Companies Act 1963 (ACT197) as entity limited by guarantee with registration number CG093762014, Accra Metropolitan Assembly number A. 026/10/36 and social welfare registration number D.S.W. / 6390 to assist the physically challenged and widows to claim their rights, erase the prejudices and overcome their ignoble plight so they can have access to health-care and secured life situation in line with the human rights laws of Ghana and Africa.
We perform a variety of service and humanitarian functions by bringing citizen concerns to Governments, advocate and monitor policies and encourage political participation through provision of information. Some are organized around specific issues, such as human rights, environment or health.
