PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products and provide a superior level of technical support that benefits the company and its clients. To coordinate the construction, maintenance, and expansion of an organization's computer systems. To implement new systems, correct software errors in existing systems and improve performance through hardware upgrades. PRINCIPAL DUTIESDelivered continual improvement of IT services to the business by delivering IT related projects and services as part of the IT team
Design & implement technical IT solutions, Data center infrastructures to achieve overall objectives by means of deploying systems and enterprise wide solutions, using Dell, HP, EMC, VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, System Center, Cisco and other third-party hardware and software applications for Costumers.
Integrates solutions and strategies within customer environment, based on the analysis of the customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.
Technical governance on Infrastructure Consulting/SAN & NAS Implementation engagements, in conjunction with CTO.
Translating the client’s business requirements into specific systems, applications and process designs for custom technical solutions.
Analyzes customer requirements and designs solutions to meet the customer objectives, and balances the needs of sales and delivery, to design a solution that meets or exceeds the requirements of service delivery.
Design and Deploy Email Systems for client Microsoft Exchange Servers, Active Directory Solutions, Virtual Desktop Infrastructures, SCOM, SCCM & SCVMM for Clients.
Identification of real business requirements by asking the right questions, understand issues and defining the value related to the fulfillment of such requirements.
Definition of initiatives, develop appropriate architecture strategy and roadmap, and mapping out the solution areas that will be required to deliver target architectures.
Solution designs, Datacenter infrastructure deployments, business continuity planning, software defined datacenter, storage infrastructure.
Activity engage in presales activities to support sales team in closing deals.
Develop Backup and Disaster recovery solutions and strategies within the customer environment, based on the business goals, objectives and needs of the existing and new IT infrastructure.
ADHOC/OCCASIONAL OR PERIPHERAL DUTIES
Undertake such other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of this post to ensure the effective delivery, management and development of operations. INTER-DEPARTMENTAL RELATIONS
Maintain daily and regular contacts with all units and departments. EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Maintain contact with the heads of units and departments in other relevant institutions and the general public as and when necessary. LEVEL OF EFFORTPhysical Effort: The incumbent will have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. The employee may sometimes lift and/or move objects. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Mental Effort: The position requires concentration, accuracy, and focused mental effort.
