ABOUT THE ROLE
The Facilities & Assets Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks related to maintaining and improving company facilities and equipment.
Reports to: Administrative Services Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in execution of the facility maintenance schedule
Responsible for periodic (scheduled) assessments and inspections of facilities.
Conduct daily facility checks
Install and maintain electrical power, lighting and controls systems for the office building.
Read blue print of electrical and technical diagrams.
Prepare the grounds for sub-contractors by providing temporal lights and power source for their job execution.
Responsible for bringing to the Administrative Services Manager any facility issues that may affect the physical safety and well-being of any person on the premises.
Carry out all responsibilities according to group policies and within budget allocations
Resolve identified hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
Install and understand the workings of a UPS system.
Any other related duties assigned
OHSE RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of and adherence to all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures
Follow all safe work procedures, rules, and instructions
