Job Presentation
A cleaning services company in Takoradi is seeking to employ the services of a Cleaning Supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY:
A Cleaning Supervisor is to;
Manage the work of the Cleaning Staff which will include training, instructing and supervising.
Undertake, as part of the team, the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
The supervision of all cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behavior whilst on duty.
Ensuring that a first-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of cleaning sites.
Reviewing work schedules.
Monitoring of all cleaning activities.
Ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety policies and procedures.
To ensure all works carried out by the Cleaning Staff as set out in their job descriptions are completed with due observation to appropriate Health & Safety requirements.
Liaise with the Operations Manager on a daily basis regarding current tasks, and assist in the planning of future tasks.
Ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized.
Act as a communication conduit between management and staff.
Maintain and control use of stock, equipment & consumables.
Assist the Operations Manager to maintain the asset register.
Monitor and report absenteeism to the Operations Manager.
Actively promote Health and Safety, and report any breach directly to the Operations Manager.
Ensure that all staff wear all appropriate PPE when undertaking cleaning duties.
Where required, gather and provide information on a daily, monthly and annual basis, including schedules, cleaning reports, consumable issues and usage etc.
Check all equipment that require replacement items as needed.
Report faulty equipment to the Operations Manager within 12 hours of breakdown.
Ensure housekeeping standards are met and maintained in all facilities, and report shortcomings/faults to the Operations Manager.
Monitor standards and compliance of work performed by outsourced contractors.
Involvement in business development in order to win contracts and businesses.

Not limited to the above but any other job assigned to you from BOS Cleaning Services.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge – for the role of a Cleaning Supervisor
Must possess excellent communication skills in speaking, writing, and even in listening
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment.
Must have good interpersonal attributes. That is to say, the supervisor must be someone that gets along easily with people (easily approachable)
Must be outstanding when it comes to organization and coordination of both humans and their activities
Must display a high level of integrity due to the fact that he/she may be in a position to take care of people’s personal belongings.
Excellent decision-making ability.
Must be proactive in the line of duty.
Must have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team, and most importantly, lead a team
Should have a clear understanding of customer service guidelines/principles
Must have relevant experience in cleaning and supervision of cleaning procedures
General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning
Able to follow verbal directions.
Ability to work well alone, or with a partner or team.
Reliable and punctual with a dedicated professionalism to job and duties.
Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines.
Excellent time management skills.
Able to assist team members with cleaning duties when needed.
Organized and able to follow a schedule.
A minimum of an HND or equivalent; relevant experience; or knowledge, skills, and mental ability.
Physically able to handle machines for extended periods of time.
Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time.
Previous experience in cleaning preferred; training will be provided.
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.


Note: The ideal candidate must live in Takoradi - Harbour View/Windy Ridge and its neighbouring areas.
