General HR administration.
An HR Administrator provides an advisory and consultancy service to staff and management on a range of human resources issues, procedures and policies consistent with employee standards, legislation and guidelines.
Responsible for the compliance of all the personnel documentation with the regulatory framework (law, internal procedures, and internal policies).
Communicates with employees about their documentation and answers specific questions posed by employees.
Assist with recruitment i.e. place adverts in the Ghana newspaper and vet CV’sSystem Administration
Organize and maintain department electronic and paper filing systems, archive and retrieve records and ensure that the appropriate department staff responds to critical deliverables in a timely manner.
Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation.Recruitment
Identifying, reviewing, and advising on tasks related to recruitment process and employment strategies to meet requirements.
Set up interviews and issue relevant correspondence.
Place adverts in Local newspaper
Provide recruitment support (schedule interviews, assessments, book meeting rooms, provide feedback to candidates, conduct reference checks).
Facilitation, coordination and support of the recruitment and selection process within the HR Administrators relevant business unit.Technical Expertise
Provide general support to the project team members including: -
Travel arrangements such as flights (chartered or commercial), car hire or airport transfers, accommodation, visas, bookings for the travel clinics and so forth,
Completion and submission of Work Permit documentation (if required),
Arranging site books,
Scheduling meetings and workshops,Expat Management/ Work Permit
Liaise with relevant stakeholders on expat related matters related to work permits
Assist the HR Consultant with the work permit process for expat employees Quality
Field HR-related queries by responding professionally and timeously and where necessary escalate matters to Office manager or GM HR.
Participate actively in quality, process improvement and re-engineering efforts.
Exercising significant ownership of position, professional judgment and independent initiative regarding HR duties.General Administration
Supports HR Projects and Initiatives.
Help fulfil the overall goals of the department by performing additional tasks as assigned.
Responsible for updating specific spreadsheets with employee data
Handle employee’s relevant insurances as well as claims administration process.
Minute-taking (during meetings / disciplinary hearings / performance reviews).
Handle ongoing ad hoc HR-related administrative duties
Degree in either Human Resources Management / Industrial Psychology / Organisational Psychology.
11 years plus working experience with 3 years in an HR Generalist role, 1 year experience in recruitment, 5 years having worked with the Full MS Office Package at minimum intermediate level and 2 years in management of expats. Years of Experience : 11 Years
