Rural Water Project

About the product
In Ghana, rural communities are defined as those with a population of fewer than 5000 inhabitants. Most rural settlements have traditionally relied on surface waters sources such as streams, rivers, lakes, ponds, dug-outs and impoundment reservoirs. Dependency on unsafe water sources is high in rural areas.
According to UN Sustainable Development Goals (2016-2030), Goal 6 aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. People in these rural communities have high rates of malnourishment, low but increasing levels of school attendance(especially low amongst girls) high rates of diseases(especially malaria) and numerous other problem linked to severe poverty and an exceptionally low standard of living. Rural inhabitants sharing water bodies with animals. Acute water problem during the dry season. We have to address this situation since these rural folks are dying from water borne diseases. The goal of this project is to construct boreholes and purification of water bodies in these rural communities of Ghana. Many citizens in the rural communities do not have access to potable water. This exposes them to water borne diseases. Women and children are the poorest and most vulnerable people who are worst affected by this problem. Villagers (especially women) must spend hours walking to locations miles away in order to fetch water for household needs more so when they experience massive droughts.
