Education, TVET & Gender Empowerment

About the product
As a lower middle income economy, the power force required for creating wealth, reducing poverty, unemployment and promoting growth of industries uniquely lay in Ghana’s human resources. Education and entrepreneurial skills training through technical and vocational skills empowerment has proven to be a major catalyst which can contribute to more than 50% of Ghana’s employment. Education enables young people unlock their potentials, expand their horizons, create self-employment, earn sustainable incomes and contribute to national progress. In terms of TVET, young women in particular are often stereotyped in male dominated trades, thus limiting their access to opportunities in technical and industry-driven sectors. We will promote and develop a strong human resource base, improve TVET delivery for deprived young people which will offer them realistic incomes and sustainable jobs. Specifically, our interventions;
promotes market-driven short-term courses for unemployed rural poor youth, strengthen and establish Job service and internship programs in collaboration with public and private TVET institutions.
economically empower young women, mainstream females into male-dominated technical and vocational fields, breaking social norms, political and environmental barriers and offering them opportunities especially in renewable energy, telecommunication, manufacturing, construction, hospitality and cosmetology sectors.
offer equal educational and training opportunities for physically disabled youth by creating training possibilities for career development, income generation and inclusion in society.
