Awake Purified Drinking Water - Accra

Kasapreko, a leader in innovation within the beverage industry, has launched its new purified drinking water “Awake”, a charity driven bottled purified water.
The product, Awake Purified Drinking Water, focuses on changing lives and highlights Kasapreko’s ability to combine its award winning products with its corporate social responsibility to communities in Ghana.

A statement issued by the company and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday said Awake’s tagline “One4Life” underpins this initiative, as each bottle purchased will have a significant impact on someone’s life.

It said through a unique partnership venture with its consumers, AWAKE’s One4Life campaign would multiply the impact of each Ghanaian’s individual effort towards the less fortunate.

Kasapreko has made the commitment of donating a percentage of each bottle sold towards the One4Life Fund, from which the charitable donations will be made.

It noted that at the launch of the product that the first charitable institution identified as a beneficiary is the Ghana National Cardiothoracic Centre at Korle Bu.

It said Kasapreko had pledged, through the One4Life Fund, to pay for surgery and heart transplants for patients with serious heart conditions, and for whom the cost of such life-saving medical care is Commenting on the new initiative, Eunice Adjei Bonsu, Director of Water and Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSDs) at Kasapreko, said “for us at Kasapreko we are aware of the needs in our society and we always look for opportunities to make a positive impact in people’s lives.”

Certified by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Awake Purified Drinking Water, which has its ultra-modern production plant at Kasapreko, is treated through the process of micro-filtration, reverse osmosis and sterilized by UV treatment.
