La Mansaamo Kpee - Accra

The Organisation
The La Mansaamo Kpee (LMK) or La Town Development Association is a community-based non-governmental Organisation based is La in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The governance, administration and general operations of the Association in the year 2013 was very good with significant structural reforms being undertaken with the objective of enhancing the overall capabilities of the Association in serving the La community.
The Association, with the support of major stakeholders, primarily, the indigenous people represented by the Clan Houses, remained focused in the discharge of its self-elected mandate.

Objectives
The objectives of the Association are:
(a) To provide a forum for free discussion of all matters that will promote an orderly yet a vigorous development

of the La Traditional Area.
(b) To help raise the standard of living and quality of life of the inhabitants of La Traditional Area by improving public health, sanitation, education and recreation through self-help and voluntary service.
(c) To undertake and sponsor development projects in the La Traditional Area.
(d) To forge a strong co-operation with various organisations; both governmental and non-governmental, traditional and non-traditional to ensure a smooth and orderly administration and implementation of projects.

Vision and Mission
To create an enabling environment for human development and growth through the mobilization of both indigenous and external resources, human, financial and technology to improve the quality of life of members of the La Community in particular, and its rural settlements in general.
