The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) is a governmental agency established by the Government of Ghana to promote investment and economic growth in the country through the development and management of free zones. It was established in 1995 under the Free Zones Act 1995 (Act 504) to attract foreign and local investment, create employment opportunities and develop export-led industrialization in Ghana. The Authority is responsible for the establishment, operation, supervision and regulation of free zones throughout the country. It also provides administrative and technical support to free zones and their operators.
