St Thomas Eye Hospital was founded in 2009 as North Western Eye Centre. It provides advanced eye care services with focus on glaucoma and retina diseases. Our glaucoma services includes Micropulse Laser Trabeculoplasty-MPLT, Endolaser Cyclophotocoagulation-ECP, Trance-Scleral Cyclophotocoagulation-ECP. Our retina services portfolio includes Retina Laser Photocoagulation,Intravitreal Avastin and Lucentis Injections,Macular Hole surgeries, Retina Detachment surgeries.
It also runs a charity arm that provides free eye health screening and high quality vision restoration surgeries to people living in extreme poverty. Each year the hospital provides between 700 and 800 of such surgeries and these include cataract surgeries, retina detachment surgeries and surgeries involving ocular surface pathologies.
