Akatsi South Municipal Hospital was established as a dental clinic in 1996. It was upgraded to a health center in 1996. It was again upgraded to a district hospital in 2007 and further upgraded to a Municipal status in the year 2021.
Our mission is to provide compassionate holistic health-care to promote healing, foster innovation and empower our diverse community to achieve optimal well-being.
Services rendered include mental health, maternal & child health, out-patient (OPD) services, inpatient services, laboratory services, pharmacy & dispensary services, ART and public health services.
Specialized units include Dental, ENT and Eye. The recent additions include Diabetes/Hypertension (DM/HPT) clinic, wellness clinic, breast and cervical screening units.
