About SEEDBAY OIL AND GAS LIMITED

Seedbay Oil and Gas Limited is a duly registered wholly Ghanaian owned Limited Liability Company (LLC) with intense focus on petroleum downstream and midstream operations globally. Incorporated in June, 2008, within the framework of the laws of the Republic of Ghana under the Companies Act 1963 (Act 179) with Incorporation Certificate number CS646662015, Seedbay Oil & Gas has been working through the appropriate administrative structures towards the attainment of a Bulk Distribution Oil Company status.

In efforts to meeting the requirements of the Petroleum Sector of Ghana for the BDC Licence, we brought together our Corporate Environmental policy in line with Environmental Assessment Regulations, 1999 (L.I. 1652) and obtained Environmental Permit with number CE4454490102 on November 24, 2010 to undertake bulk importation, storage, sale (bulk distributor) and exportation of petroleum products. We have also signed a lease agreement with Oil Refinery for a storage capacity of 40,000 Metric tons to store our imported products.

Seedbay Oil and Gas Limited has also secured a sponsorship for a trade facility to the tune of 60 million US Dollars per annum from a bank in the Unites states of America.

We have sealed partnership agreements with other oil and gas companies in Ghana so as to strategically build large distribution channels even prior to are full licensing. We have as part of our market penetration strategies a great deal of focus on transportation companies, quarries, credible mining companies, construction companies, haulage companies and other bulk end users.

Fundamentally, Seedbay Oil and Gas Limited specializes in the import of refined petroleum products into the Ghanaian market. We operate in two of the world’s three main petroleum markets; crude oil and refined oil products. As one of the leading suppliers of petroleum products, Seedbay has secured and traded in a wide range of petroleum products.

At Seedbay, clients are guaranteed of, and thrilled to, an aggressive advantage in the market. Backed by its immeasurable experience and access within the market, we are thereby able to distribute our products in an effective and efficient way.

Seedbay has attracted an enviable market share throughout the country. Key to sustaining these customers, Seedbay has satellite operational distribution depots in Tema, Buipe, Kumasi and Takoradi.This we do with a very dedicated and robust supply chain management to deliver customer satisfaction throughout the retail network.
Products

Seedbay has developed a reputation for providing high quality and reliable service to its customers. Our petroleum products are supplied to regulatory defined industry standards thereby committed to offering the highest quality of products. The range of petroleum products we trade in include;
Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)

Premium Motor Spirit, Motor Gasoline (MOGAS), Petrol and Gasoline are different terms for the same product and are one of the products obtained from the Crude Oil refining process. It is usually dyed pink to differentiate it from other products like Kerosene. It is used as the primary fuel for internal combustion engines.

Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)

Many consumers also refer to automotive Gas Oil as Gasoil or Diesel. It is suitable for high-speed diesel engines.

Aviation Turbine Kerosene/ Jet Fuel (ATK)

Aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) or jet fuel is a specialized type of petroleum-based fuel used to power aircrafts. It is generally of a higher quality than fuels used in less critical applications such as heating or road transport. ATK is clear to straw colored and is a blend of hydrocarbons, a product of petroleum refining which belongs to the middle distillate group.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

LPG is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel in heating appliances and vehicles. It is used for domestic, commercial and industrial purposes.
Marine Gas Oil (MGO)

Marine Gas Oil also known as Bunker fuel is designed for use in some combustible engines in marine automobiles. It has maximum sulfur content of 10mg/kg. A blend of heavy Gasoil that may contain very small amounts of black refinery feed stocks, but has a low viscosity so it need not be heated for use in internal combustion engines.

Residual Fuel Oil (RFO)

RFO is the last product of the refinery stream. It is very viscous oil that is mainly used in power plants, boilers and as bunker fuel in large ships. It is also referred to as Crude Fuel Oil (CFO).
