Quality of service
ComReg, the Commission for Communications Regulation, regulates the quality of our mail service and sets performance standards. It monitors compliance with the standards and publishes a report on the results of the monitoring exercise at least once a year. The most recent performance statistics are for 2017.

What do I need to know if I’m posting internationally?









When sending packets or parcels to destinations outside the European Union, a completed customs declaration is required and is available from your post office. An Post provides two customs forms:

The CP72 for parcels or items with a value in excess of €300
The CN22 for all other items
An Aviation Security Declaration, to ensure compliance with airline security regulations, must be attached to any packet or parcel containing goods sent within the EU, excluding Northern Ireland.

How long does Standard Post take?









Delivery times vary depending on the destination. Standard Post items are usually delivered on the next working day in Ireland. International items take three to seven working days.
If you need your mail to get there faster, try our Same Day Delivery or International Courier services.

What items are restricted or prohibited?









Due to a tightening of airline security it is no longer possible to accept ink or toner cartridges. Check the full list of items restricted from the outbound international mail services.

Can I track my post or parcel?










Tracking is available only on parcels within the Republic of Ireland.
Should I include a return address?









Always include a return address. On the rare occasion we cannot deliver your item we will return it to you without delay.
