Muna Kalati, network of professionals in African children books - Accra

Muna Kalati is a pan-African organization that promotes the visibility of African children's books and video games. By bringing together digital publishers, booksellers, authors, illustrators, cartoonists, and other stakeholders, Muna Kalati hopes to increase the presence of black and minority representation in the global children's publishing industry. Currently, there are more children's books about animals than books featuring characters of color, limiting cultural diversity and disrupting intercultural dialogue. To address this issue, Muna Kalati works to facilitate access to African children's books, disseminates news on African children's publishing, and advocates for the development of national policies on children's books in Africa.
