Jata Motor - Accra

Founded by a team of entrepreneurs with experience in transportation, fleet management, and the automotive industry in both Africa and Europe, Jata was born out of the desire to make electric vehicle ownership easier and more accessible. Frustrated with the expense and environmental damage caused by fossil-fuel vehicles, which require costly maintenance, the founders sought to bring EV technology to Africa, beginning with Ghana. With the goal of empowering all eligible Africans to own an EV, Jata works in collaboration with numerous industry players to create and sell cost-effective electric vehicles.
