Chemical Engineer

Ensuring that the final product observes the company's quality standards. Responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes. Devising procedures to inspect and report quality issues. Monitoring all operations that affect quality. Supervising and guiding inspectors, technicians and other staff. Assuring the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output. Appraising customers’ requirements and making sure they are satisfied. Reporting all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action. Facilitating proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data. Reviewing current standards and policies. Keeping records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation. Ensuring all legal standards are met. Communicating with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections.

Coordinating and administering research projects on behalf of organisations such as businesses, government bodies and charities. Carrying out surveys and collecting and analysing data allowing clients to further understand their markets and make informed decisions about future policies and initiatives. Helping to create business plans, launch a new product and fine tune existing ones and expand in to new markets

Carrying out checks of the machinery and equipment used in the production plant. Ensuring that the machinery is working properly. Setting machines before usage and assure continuous operability of the equipment. Ensuring expected production volumes and quality are achieved. Assisting in the production lab to check for product quality. Helping in ensuring proper housekeeping of working area. Acting as plant supervisor n the absence of the supervisors. Liaising with maintenance team during shutdown maintenance programs. Assisting in the technical store during stock count.

Assisting in ensuring the quality of refined oil and optimal rate of production, all refinement processes carefully observed and maintained. Monitoring and evaluating all refinement equipment, machinery and the quality of the oil to ensure standards and effective production and to identify and forecast possible problems. Liaising with maintenance team during shutdown maintenance programs.

Helping in optimising the process and implementing quality assurance and control systems and overseeing the implementation of new processes. Implementing effective manufacturing processes at the plant. Evaluating existing manufacturing processes, developing process control strategies and ensuring the processes comply with industry specifications and regulations.
