Electrical Technician

• General maintenance on transformers (replacement of burnt
fuses at both HV and LV sections, cleaning of spilled oil and
changing of silicon breather)
• General processing plant maintenance (electrical panel
building, installation and fault diagnoses of electric motors,
diagnose fault in industrial electrical panel system,etc.)
• Draw and upgrade low voltage (LV)overhead lines
• Maintenance of high voltage copper bus-bar network
• Diagnose faults on underground cables and over headlines
• Mounting poles for cables to be fixed
• High voltage switching (changing over ECG to Gen-Set and

Replacing faulty circuit breakers with functional ones
• Regular checks of battery chargers and alternator belts to
ensure effective charging of batteries in the plant
• Checking of gen set components such as varistors, CDVR unit
etc
• Taking hour records of gen-set quantities such as voltage,
real power, apparent power, frequency etc
• Attend to scheduled shutdown maintenance and provide
servicing to electrical systems and equipment e.g.control
panels, electrical lines
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on electrical
systems and components of generation plant
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to electrical
systems and components
• Monitory of plant cooling systems
• Constantly check machineries during production to ensure
smooth operation and for any unusual sounds
