FINANCE MANAGER
The role details is to perform a series of tasks to ensure the company’s financial security, handling essentially all financial matters and thus helping to drive the business’s overall management and strategy
Responsibilities of the job include:
Responsible for the company’s financial status, actions and transactions, preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
Supervising the Finance/Accounts Team in the smooth running of all accounting operations: preparing periodic financial statements, profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
Undertaking financial administration
Analyzing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts, while advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
Negotiating financing on major projects as well as offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance
Developing and managing sound financial systems/policies
ensuring spending is kept in line with the budget, and liaising with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context
interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed

Position Requirements & Qualification
A relevant tertiary qualification and CA / CIMA accreditation
Minimum 5 years + financial / management accounting experience, 2 years of which must have been in a similar role
Experience in a Senior management role is required
Exceptional financial and analytical skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way
commercial awareness, with an interest in business and an understanding of how an organization works and manages resources
a high level of numeracy
professionalism and commitment
excellent oral and written communication skills
project management skills
strong interpersonal, leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance members of staff
organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Stamina and motivation to balance the demands of the role work.
