Job Description: GRAPHIC DESIGNER
ACADEMIC CITY VISION:

Academic City is relaunching with a new vision and campus to offer premium tertiary education in Engineering, Business, IT and Arts. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Graphic Designer will have up-to-date knowledge to interpret Academic City’s needs and to design solutions that will have high visual impact while getting Academic City’s message across. The Graphic Designer will keep in mind the University’s focus on innovation through our artwork, which highlights contemporary, innovative designs that best represent our brand. Use design briefs to understand the scope and requirements of an assignment
Implement knowledge of design principles to create images that will appeal to a wide audience
Develop logos, illustrations, and other images using professional-grade software programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Design artwork for marketing campaigns, social media posts and advertisements, and other collaterals as requested by other departments via the marketing request process.
Collaborate with marketing team members to ensure a design communicates the brand’s message effectively
Make changes to designs based on feedback from other stakeholders
Conduct testing to ensure the graphics remain high-quality across various media
Review designs before distribution to ensure they are without error
Continuing education to stay up-to-date on graphic design software tools and trends


REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio
Should be conversant with graphic designing software including Adobe Suite, Coral Draw, and any other relevant designing tool, which can be used to accomplish the assigned tasks
Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
Must have exceptional organizational skills, and must pay strong attention to detail
Ability to think end-to-end around assigned projects and responsibilities, to work under pressure, and with tight deadlines
Strong maturity with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality
