A reputable company is looking to employ the services of a Quality Control/ Quality Assurance  Engineer immediately. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervision of general works on site with special attention to finishes
  • Ensuring that all works on site conforms to required standards
  • Ensuring proper layout of networks
  • Quality control /Quality Assurance of concrete production for building works (including but not limited to formwork of all kinds, reinforcement alignments and arrangements,  
  • To act as main technical advisors to subcontractors, operatives and crafts people with respect to the construction site
  • To check drawings, plans, and other qualities to get an accurate calculation of the whole project drawings
  • To ensure that all the materials used are according to the specifications
  • To oversee the requisition and selection of the materials
  • To manage, monitor and interpret the design of the contract documents that has been supplied to them
  • To manage the site and its constructions on a day to day basis that includes supervising and monitoring the labor force and that of the sub-contractors
  • Determine, negotiate and agree to in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications
  • Assess contractor’s requirements and ensuring that these are met
  • Set customer service standards
  • Specify quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers
  • Investigate and set standards for quality/ health and safety

  • Education Required: BSc

    Requirements
    • Education
    • A minimum of a BSc Civil Engineering, with Road, Building / Civil Construction Background
    • At least 5 years working experience as a QA/ QC Engineer
    • Skills and Abilities
    • Should have good communication skills; both verbal and written
    • Should have commendable analytical abilities
    • Should be able to handle and organize a huge labor force
    • Should be able to foster confidence in the labor force
    • Should be comfortable with necessary documentations
    • Should be capable of working in adverse situations
    • Proper social etiquette and cultural knowledge
    • Creative and problem solving skills
    • Good negotiating skills
