Job Presentation
An international school located at Adenta seeks to hire a Head for their Primary Section– Full time
Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in school administration, preferably in an international school or educational setting.
Experience in a senior leadership position or demonstrable potential to succeed in a senior leadership role
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on building trust and fostering collaboration.
An excellent teacher who is able to demonstrate engaging, deep learning experiences.
Sound knowledge of educational principles, regulatory requirements, and industry trends in international education.
Proficiency in relevant software applications and technology tools for administrative management and reporting.
Comprehensive experience in building a connected school community, positive culture and student welfare.
Extensive knowledge of Laws and regulations regulating education in Ghana
Awareness of Data Protection and confidentiality issues
Awareness of and work within national legislation and school policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety
Duties and responsibilities
Lead teachers and staff, and in the absence of a Director of Academics, supervise all teaching and learning activities, programmes and documents
Prepare and maintain teaching timetables, and ensure teachers report regularly and promptly for duties.
Observe lessons and suggest training support for teachers where necessary.
Oversee the school’s day-to-day operations - disciplinary matters, managing the budget of the section and advise on hiring teachers and other personnel in the section.
Leading and monitoring behavior, support strategies including prevention and intervention in collaboration with the Principal.
Conduct teacher and staff evaluations and advise on promotions and disciplinary measures for staff.
Present reports, documents and other findings related to the management and success of the section on a regular basis.
Ensure the section follows regulations set by local educational authorities and, where applicable, CIE.
Lead, manage and develop the Primary School to ensure that the specific needs of primary aged students are central to the practices and policies that are implemented.
Lead the development of the School’s values and the achievement of its aims to maximise the potential of each student and to support the development of social and personal responsibility in each student.
Responsible for internal and external assessment in the Secondary school and the tracking of student progress
Working Experience: 3 - 5 Years
Education: First Degree
