Duties and responsibilities
Administrative Leadership:

Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of school policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Oversee day-to-day administrative operations, including facilities management, scheduling, and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in international education.
Contribute to the planning and development of administrative procedures and systems

2. Staff Management and Development:
Recruit, hire, and supervise administrative staff and support personnel, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff performance and job satisfaction.
Facilitate effective communication and teamwork among staff members across departments and functions

3. Financial Management:
Prepare and manage the department budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, optimizing resources.
Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.

4. Student and Family Support:
Collaborate with academic and student support teams to promote student success, well-being, and engagement.
Serve as a primary point of contact for student and parent inquiries, concerns, and feedback, fostering strong relationships and effective communication channels.
Coordinate student enrolment, admissions processes, and student services to meet the diverse needs of the school community.

5. Community Engagement:
Cultivate positive relationships with parents, alumni, donors, and community partners to enhance the school's reputation and impact.
Organize and participate in school events, meetings, and outreach activities to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration.
Represent the school at local and international forums, conferences, and networking events to share best practices and build partnerships.


Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in school administration, preferably in an international school or educational setting.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward shared goals and objectives.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on building trust and fostering collaboration.
Sound knowledge of educational principles, regulatory requirements, and industry trends in international education.
Proficiency in relevant software applications and technology tools for administrative management and reporting.
Extensive knowledge of Laws and regulations regulating education in Ghana
Awareness of Data Protection and confidentiality issues
Awareness of and work within national legislation and school policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety


Working Experience: 3 - 5 Years

Education: First Degree
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
