Overview:

The Sales & Marketing/Business Development Officer is a pivotal role responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence through strategic sales and marketing initiatives. This role requires a dynamic individual with a blend of sales expertise and marketing proficiency to effectively identify, pursue, and convert opportunities into tangible business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Sales & Marketing Strategies: Formulate and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies aligned with organizational objectives to maximize revenue generation and market penetration.
  • Market Analysis & Research: Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Utilize insights to tailor sales and marketing strategies for targeted impact.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion: Drive lead generation activities through various channels including digital marketing, networking, referrals, and cold outreach. Convert leads into sales opportunities through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand client requirements, address inquiries, and provide solutions to meet their needs, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Product/Service Promotion: Develop compelling marketing collateral, presentations, and promotional materials to showcase the value proposition of products/services. Utilize marketing channels such as digital marketing, social media, advertising, and events to amplify brand visibility.
  • Business Development & Expansion: Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the company's client base and revenue streams. Proactively engage with potential clients, conduct sales pitches, and negotiate contracts to secure new business.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline effectively, from lead generation to closure, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate tracking, and reporting of sales activities. Utilize CRM tools to maintain detailed records and insights for informed decision-making.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats. Adapt sales and marketing strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track key performance metrics related to sales targets, conversion rates, ROI, and marketing campaign effectiveness. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies for enhanced results.
  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as product development, customer service, and marketing to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts with overall business objectives. Provide feedback and insights to inform product/service enhancements and marketing strategies.

  • Education Required: Qualified

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development roles
    • Strong sales acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Proficiency in marketing principles, digital marketing strategies, and lead generation tactics.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
